A visit to the tulip farm during the height of the season can be a little stressful because of the crowds. It requires lots of patience and creativity. You really have to block out all the noise and people. Using different lenses can be key in getting the shots without all the people. You can also use some of these techniques with your phone camera. Try to move around the tulips, and the area you want to photograph to get the best shot without people and the best light! This is how I captured some of my shots using various Lensbaby lenses and filters and my Tamron 70-200mm lens.
Using Lensbaby Edge 35 and an Omni wand, I was able to blur the background and people and focus on the tulips.
I used Lensbaby Edge35 to make a colorful bokeh background.
Using the Lensbaby Soft Focus II Optic and a Lensbaby macro filter, I created a bokeh background of colors while focusing on one gorgeous tulip. I also used an Omni filter in the lower left hand corner.
I shot this one with my Fuji Xt3 and Lensbaby Sol45, creating a very different angle look. I also used a Lensbaby Omni filter for the background.
By selecting focus inside the tulip. Shot with Lensbaby Soft Focus II and macro filter on Fuji Xt3.
